i totally agree with megaflea in saying that Falken Ze912s are the tits!

ive had:
Roadstone
Nexen
Nankang
Michelin
Maragoni
Admiral
Runway
Durun

and probs others, but ive pretty much all the budgets and they are all absolute crap. i wouldnt even bother touching them if u have a high performance car, specially this time of year, really not gona do it any good. fair enuff if you have a lil runabout which u dont really give a hiding or dont do a lot of mileage in, then budgets will be fine.

but anyway. the falkens i had were immense in the dry and especially in the wet, didnt last very long thou.

im a tyre fitter so i always hear a lot of peoples reviews on certain tyres and i always hear good things about toyo proxies, i havent tried them myself yet but apparently they are the best high performance tyre out there at the moment.

and as for Yokohama Parada Spec 2s,they are amazing wet and dry, put a set on my mates zs the otyher week and the grip is immense. ive never seen a standard fez handle so good. they look the nuts aswel.

i got Kumho Ecstas ready to go on my Rs2k wheels now, at £138 quid for 4 i cudnt go wrong really and ive heard pretty good things about them from customers, al ot of them have had them over and over as well.
anyone got any views on them?

Eagle F1 asymetrics here now to go on. will let you know how i get on with them :)

Edit: well theyre on now. and it behaves like a different car. its alot less prone to spinning wheels up..it just grips..that was even with a let it climb on boost then floor it in first...infact the only thing it does is show how tired the suspension is...altho after the best part of 150k im not suprised!. wet grip is also like night and day in comparison to the the Hankook
Evo's...which washed out in the wet with freightening ease

tyres will most likely be tossed in 8 thousand miles anyways..but i would DEFINATELY buy another set :D

Jam.

i just fitted a set to my audi rims 4 my arosa.

apparently they are crap in the wet. but hard wearing and good in the dry.

o and just to let you know guys.

had a meeting with toyo the other day.

the T1-R is being discontinued in the smaller sizes soon. only 16" - 19" i think they said they will be makiing it in.

there will be a new tyre to take over the place of the Proxes 4. possibly called a T1-Sport. which will be in the lower sizes.

they have also brought out a new track. the R1-R

pic here:
http://www.racetire.net/racing/toyo/images/r1r.jpg

its supposed to be a better wet tyre than the r888

Got some eagle F1's on the car at the minute that were new back in Jan, and they are dog turd in anything but the dry hot weather. And even then the grip fades so easily.

Can't wait to get back to some decent Michelin tyres, unless some type of top-end Dunlop tyre takes my fancy as I've never tried them before.

Best advice I can give everyone is search on your tyre size at various places, pick the 4/5 most expensive, and decide from there :)

better than falken ze-912s..

and i got 4 for 80 quid! haha :insanity:

ive heard pretty good things about F1s. apart from they dont last long.

those proxes 4 PX4Es are supposed to be really good in the wet i hear.

I think tyres are purely relative to the chassis, so it's worth noting to ignore anyone's comments that aren't about a fiesta, including mine!
