ok im so close to this now just need someone to confirm all the parts i would need for the ZVH conversion, i currently have a 1.6 si, also would my full exhaust system fit ?

Your exhaust could easily be mated to the turbo downpipe.

You need a better zetec bottom end than a 1.6 one.

There is a fair bit of work involved doing a ZVH

Might as well do ZT and keep 16v. Or just drop a CVH in it.

there is alot of advantages to a zvh, the most basic is price.

Realistically you are taking CVH and changing the bottom end with a zetec one, all you need is head work and a remap, the 1.8 zetec with a decomp plate is the best option as the internals can take it, this can easily get you over 200bhp.

Not has monsterous as the 2.0/2.1 16v turbos, but can be done with a lot less money.

I would say the trick is the engine management, a ZVH is just RS Turbo remapped to for the bigger bottom end and probably a T3.

The best way to run a zetec turbo is complete custom management.

Basically a ZVH is a cheap zetec turbo, costs less with less potential power.

to fully turbo a ztect you looking at almost a grand more ( i belive from looking) but to drop a ZVH thats already turbo depending on sourced parts could be £600 +, the advantages are like you cost, ok so its 8 valve, but if i can get 200 bhp ill be happy :thumbsup:

from when i last did a zvh wif some friends we needed to drill out the waterpump to fit the cvh pump into the zetec block which wasnt that hard just loads of hardened bits needed but iv now found out that a conversion plate is availible and a siera cvh cambelt tensioner is needed 1.6 zetec sump and pickup if for fiesta if 1.8 been told to use rs turbo head gaskit if 2.0 use a felpro and custom headbolts are needed we used some out bmw ill try and find out what they were of

well funny thing about the ZVH conversion is two companies gave me resonable quotes of 600-1200 then i get this one

Labour to do the conversion and supply exchange parts, such as cvh engine ,turbo etc, £2500

Then to carry out the 2.1 conversion to the cvh £2585

The Gotech engine management to suit £950

Ball park drive in drive out £6035

I was like WTF lol, well i dont have any parts, i just think the RST is alot easyier to get hold of and it will produce pretty good performance figures, the reason i dont want to do the ZT is i really dont want to spend over a grand, as ill need to do all my breaks and suspension and they aint cheap lol. :lolz:
