do the power boost valves improve performance or wat and are they really worth the money

i assume they would fit both 2litre an 1.6 zetec

Complete waste of time. There is nothing wrong with the standard fuel pressure! The ECU is mapped against the standard fuel pressure, so increasing it will do nothing but make the car run too rich (and hence lose you power!).

oh rite wasnt like i was gonna spend £80 on one as i could probably source myself a nice 2litre for that


but i was just wondering whether they are of any benefit to the engine.

the point of these is that when you put your foot down the fuel pressure should rise aswell, generally the power boost valve raises the pressure quicker giving not really more power but response.
you have to set them up using a gauge which you can get at the same time, set it up when the engine is hot and under the bonnet use full throttle to rev up engine, the screw on the top let you set the pressure to what you want, whether you want it standard or not is upto you but dont go over about 4.75 bar or your injectors will get buggered and dribble. i set mine to just under 4.5 bar.
If your car has a flat spot it can solve that to.
There is a stud holding the cam cover down with a rubber tit on it not doing anything, i move this to the top right and bolt the cam cover down then use a nut to fasten the valve.
You have to cut and join the fuel pipe abit aswell, just remember there is alot of pressure in the fuel pipe ready to drop onto the hot cat and make a mess of your car.
I just like them because its like older carb cars with the boot getting covered in black carbon.

i have one on mine and i have really godd throttle response. it really does snap up until the turbo kicks in and with no flat spots whats so ever.
but then i do have a lot of mods on my car so i dont know what difference one would make to a almost standard car
