rightttt. i had to space my rs2k's on the front... now i have my steelies on i had the spacers on and it looked fooking awesome... butttt the amount of thread compared to without the spacers was a bit worrying... will this be a major issue? its only 5mm spacing on standard steelies. if its ok then its a laugh.

It can be an issue yeah. Just think, 5mm spacer means 5mm less thread for the nut to hold the wheel on.

Might be worth getting longer studs. I have for the rears so I can put small spacers on there

The worse that could happen...

Well, the wheel could fall off. That will result in the car slamming down onto your brake disc, more than likely shattering it or just completely fucking it up. The car itself will probably hit the floor, fucking up all the body work and underneith. Also, if your wheel doesnt escape as soon as it comes off, it will probably fuck the wing up and rip it off... and you will probably loose control and crash too, especially when you hit the brakes and swerve into the other lane because only one side is braking properly.

Now... wanna risk it for a chocolate biscuit?

The general concensus and from personal experience. 5 or 6mm spacers are about as long as you should go with std length wheelstuds. it works out to be about 3 or 4 threads on a metric stud. youll still get enough purchase on there to secure the wheel after that its best to go for longer studs.

its not as bad as you think. take the front brakes off. 4 swift clouts with a hammer and the old ones are out. same goes for fitting new ones. worst bit about the back ones is getting the drum off.

Don't hammer them out in a confined space though, makes you deaf lol.
I did mine in the back yard and the echo of it is loud banging.
