Hi i ben working on this little project last 2 weeks i order the parts from Regals Motorsport Limited for viper performance silicone hoses
they are very good also the air cone and the breather was from Matt Lewis Racing

The pipes id was 57mm and the joiners was od 57 mm i also got some rubber bushes to fit the maf to the brackets its been fun i had the welder out and made the brackets and painted them i bent the metal at work so it would give me more time here some pictures also still have a 90% bend and some silcone pipe so may decide to go all the way to the inlet man

also i clean the pipe lol i would also like you to comment on this i maybe going all the way to the inlet man but that will cost like extra 30 pounds

id see if you can get or find a stainless steel pipe and go across your cam cover and bit of hose to attach it to the TB. i like it very good and well thought out mate.

Would be best to go all the way, as the plastic pipe is the main restriction and the heat soak it gets is rediculous!!

nice amount of work put in there, better than the cable tie option I keep going for! definately go all the way, the painted plastic make it look like half a job! would look much better with the hose, and as paul said should help with heat soak.

Could you just use exhaust wrap in the plastic bit/hose to reduce the heat soak into it?
I.e. using its insulation properties in reverse to stop heat coming in rather than going out as in an exhaust??

Know it wouldn't look pretty, but if it keeps inlet temps down always a win in my book

Better to bin the plastic bit IMO if your going to the hassle of relocating and fitting fancy pipes.

yes i will be doing this soon i got some bits

cheap skate i know but.. get a tesco value scouring pad or brillo pad and scrub the inlet works wonders i promise you and would add that extra bit of shine to what already looks like a smart engine
