Yes the Puma linkage acts as a shortshifter

I have one fitted in my 2.0 that i'm breaking. Two holes need to be drilled as it doesnt mount up to the holes already there and you need to knock up a mechanism to return it to neutral as the neutral return spring is in the Puma box where as it is in the Fiesta linkage

Mine is pretty much already sold but the neutral on mine is just a spring under the centre console that makes the gear stick go back to neutral when it is out of gear

There is a guide by Excursion on his website, probably a link on ft.com, where he has welded a bar across the gear stick and then bolted that to the car to provide a stiffer way of bringing it back to neutral

Mine works fine though and its easy enough to get used to

Definately a worth while mod if you can find a puma linkage
