Thinking of putting gsxr throttle bodies on a st170 inlet manifold onto my 1.6 si. Ive found a guide on the site but im just a bit confused. so i have just a couple of questions.

1. Will it be worth doing it to the 1.6?

2. Do i need to put an after market ecu on?

3. Will it have that much of a bhp gain?

Any help will be much appreiciated.

I can't see why it wouldn't fit, but I can't see much gains either as the biggest problem witht eh 1.6 Si is the head is very restrictive.

I believe you can run them on a standard ECU but you will have problems so aftermarket is the way forward really.

The best modification to the 1.6 si is putting a 1.8 or 2.0 in as you get nice gains from the start, but it also then gives you you more scope for the future to add TB's as an example.

ITBs on an ST manifold? How's that work? Isn't the ST inlet a single body inlet?!

cheers that cleared the main problem i had. would it be worth doing. i might as well just get a 2.0 instead. :)
