As ive mentioned before the gears on my Si with the ERST LSD gearbox are sloppy, just wanted to check if this is the correct fitment and is it a fair price ?

i bought 1 from ebay for my ST for £30 a few year back, not a b&M but works flawlessly, i wouldnt spend that when u can get them for a fraction of the price :thumbsup:

is it feel sloppy through the amount of movement in the gear stick or is it worn, is it in the gear lever base or the linkage? may be worth checking the bushes in the linkage first

not sure whats wrong with it, but whereever i leave the stick it stays, for example on a normal gearbox in netural if you push it left to right a spring brings it back to the middle, on mine it dodesnt is stays there and sometimes it kicks out of 5th.

i think rally designe do a quick shift that is said to be just as good and some have said better than the b&m wich way over priced.
1 thing tho they say its a pig to fit but wot isnt in most cases.

bias springs have thrown in the towel. or the the U/J at the end is wanked to death. the rally design kit doesnt come with them and from previous experience its a bit of a twat to fit as the old sticks are splined at the bottom. the later fiesta type are knurled and its a mission to move the nylon ball without wrecking it. The B&M kit needs your stabiliser bar i think. possibly the rod the bottom of the gearstick sits in too.

theres a guide on zetec inside on how to take the slop out of gear linkage u/joints.
