orite im wanting to make some bonnet raisers at work does anyone know the measurements for holes and what centres they are chears.

lol, oops i totally forgot,
the bolts i am using are stainless steel m5 x 25 .
i'm working on the car Friday (changing the cylinder head finally)
so i'll try and remember to measure the spacers i used , might even get a pic.

you dont need to make them go to a B and Q shop or some where like that easy as well thats what i did on my old car.

(referring to my previous message), cylinder head change in the cold and wind on your own is hard work...

i quickly measured the raisers on my car whilst i was out there.
they are solid 1" square thick blocks of aluminium 110mm long
i am using m5 x 25 hex head bolts with washers
the distance from the bolts was 77mm from the middle of the bolt
then the holes are drilled slightly oblong to allow for adjustment of the bonnet,
i didn't measure them but i estimate the hole size to be 6.5mm by 10mm
( ) <---- this sort of shape

try with a piece of wood to get the measurements rite :)

dont go for the pikey large cyliinder washer things sold on ebay they dont evenly spread the load when you bolt them one the hinge and will probably fail

cheers mate just to verify there 1 inch by one inch by 110mm big drilled and you say the holes are 77mm apart from the two centers of the holes ?gonna get these made up this week think gonna use stainless as dont think got any aluminium tht big
