ok, so i have been looking into this for a while now, and most of you know ive been going on about the ZVH conversion, well that should be going ahead soon, and i want to get the rear stripped and strutted (if thats a word) :hmm:

, ive been looking into a light alternative of creating a false floor with chequered metal plating on top, anyone know any good ways of achieving this ?

make a cardboard template of the floor then get some alloy check plate and transfer the template to the check plate and cut it out

And don't strip your daily. You'll get bored very quickly. I've had the back seats out in the Clio and it's noisy as shit and the 106 I fully stripped of carpet, sound deadening and seats. I drove it for about 2 months and got sick of it. Yeah it sounded awesome when I was going for a blast, but every day to work you can hear every stone hitting the underside and arches. The exhaust note is twice as loud. The road noise from the tyres is horrid. Evil for a daily!

true, i dont carry rear passengers any ways, the material i was using for the false floor would be light weight just thought i do some styling in the back, as it would weigh less than seats that arnt being used ??

Pick up the rear bench!It barely weighs anything anyways. I'd just put some carpet down over the floor if you wanted it to look chic.
