Right guys, Starting to get into photography so I've bought a Fujifilm FinePix S4300 Bridge camera to get me going. I couldn't afford a DSLR just now, but my dad has one I plan on stealing when he's not looking ![]() Was away on holiday last week and was in Greenwich park so took a few shots of some random things I saw. Haven't done any post photo processing on them as my desktop is in bits at the mo, so take that into account and give me any feedback you have. Cheers Paul ![]() ![]() The next few were some Aston Martins that were at an owners day in the Naval College grounds so were quick snaps as I was waiting for a boat ![]() ![]() Look, even Astons get rust ![]() Went for a wander round the Cutty Sark too. Thank you please ![]() |

All depends what you want the camera for. If it's a daily point and shoot, a bridge camera or even a modern compact camera, or camera phone are more than good enough for that. I started with a bridge camera, even photographed a wedding with one once (was very hard work with it), I found it's limits very quickly though and it didn't meet the requirements I needed, so naturally I moved up to a DSLR. Only got a 550D with a few lenses, and it's not even a full frame camera - which will only make sense if you know about cameras, but it does the jobs I need, for now. There are a few things that make me want a full frame camera, but the cost if the biggest issue. As the saying goes, the best camera is the one you have with you. |

Yeah Danny, it's just a point and shoot but I wanted something with a reasonable lens and high optical zoom. And with the zoom needed something my shovel hands could hold steady so bridge it was. And at £120 I couldn't complain! I know what you mean about the limits, it is obvious even to me that as a point and shoot its fine but for anything more its not the tool to have. My mum has a few SLRs and DSLRs so have grown up with them and quite fancy th freed they give. Like you, wont be a full frame as that is silly money for my use. But will give me that extra control. That's a DB4, not 5! Not been round the Sark since it's latest refurbishment. Looking good! |
