Soooo the insurance on the Si runs out tomorrow, ghey.

I got my renewal through the post from More Than car insurance who done me an awesome quote last year of £450 fully comp, mods declared, all types of cover ect ect.

This years quote from them was £741.. So I phoned them up, they said they can offer me £100 discount and thats it, but the woman said to check comparison sites to see what prices come back and to let them know...

So off I pop onto various sites... My own insurance company - with the same stuff listed, except I added more milage and reduced the excess to £0 from £250 - came back with a quote of £542. I was like seriously? lol

Then popped onto another site, done the exact same, and the lowest quote I got was £373 that's fully comp with mods declared ect. Looked at who it was with, its a company called echoice - from the makers of More Than... I was like 'are you for real?' lol.

Phone up my insurance comapny, let them know the quote and said I am going to cancel, then had a chat with the guy and he was saying how insurance is crazy these days and fluctuates from day to day. He asked me what company it was because he needs to renew his car insurance and will phone them for a quote lol, and then he was like 'Oh I see you own a fiesta, are you into cars then?' I said 'Have you got the declared mods on the screen', he was like 'hold on... oh, I take it you are then! Whats it like with the 2 litre engine?' and then we started talking about cars for 10 mins... he owns a sierra cossie!

So yeah all is good

TL:DR - insurance renwal cut by nearly £400 with echoice.

Good thread mate. I knew that echoice are really good company, my mate is with them and from what he's told me they are more on the ball than some of these bigger companies even though it's Internet based. But I'm deffently going to give one of them comparison sites ago for my renewal in a few months time going by how much you saved! Thanks
