Had a SP30 back last year, basic 3 points £60 fine job done. Rung directline they said it wouldnt affect current policy only when i renew but it will automatically go on. Had my renewal last week £935 thought great! went to renew today he asked the usual stuff and i said i have got SP30 but that was noted down, he then replied in the usual way im sorry sir but there is no SP30 recorded. Thought fucking great here we go he added it onto the quote came back at..... £1300 WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK! How can they justify sky rocketing the price £300+ for a poxy run of the mill SP30 bearing in mind im 20 living in a decent postcode area & have 4 years no fucking claims!. not only the fact its bumped the insurance right up but that i have till the 2nd to find another insurance company or pay that hurrendous price! The system is absolute fucking joke. Rang need to insure and he sorted me right out, ok i have to chuck a deposit down but the insurance quote came back at £967 on a modified car policy. |

4 years no claims and its still nearly a £1000? Thats not right surely. Mine is only £450 odd fully comp. Insurance IS a joke though with their prices. When I went to put the Si back on the road some companies wouldn't insure it because its been sorn... makes no sense in my opinion, and most quotes was like £800 odd when the previous year i had been paying £600 odd.. I swear sometimes they just make up random numbers ![]() |

When I insured my si with 0 ncb it was £1500 Then with 1ncb it was £1000 Then when I had 2ncb they wanted £1700!! Needless to say I told them where to go and took the si off the road as I'd rather pay daft amounts for a car that is actually worth the money. I'm hoping my renewal should drop when I gain 3ncb and I'm now 25. |
