andd iv also insured a 2.7td when i was 18 for 600 quid ... my insurance group love me lol

currently have a 1.1 witch im using as a run around slash doner car its getting transplanted in 2 weeks to a 2.0ltr how much is this going to effect my insurance? im now 20 going into my third year of driving im currently paying £465 fully comp as a named driver on my dads policy (how its always been) either way the engine is going in even if i cant drive it lol cheers sean x |

It will affect it big time, you do know on 99% of polices you dont build up your own no claims being a named driver? Once the dvla has verified the engine change the insurance company will be able to sort out the pricing. Dont expect it to be the same though lol |

Yeah but thats a stock td... this is a 1.1 going to a 2.0 thats what 50bhp as standard? prob about about 30-40... 2 litre engine, 130 as standard, prob about that still. thats an increase of 100bhp basically... insurance will go 'f**k me, thats a big difference' but alot of people have 2.0 fiestas so they probably have an average price for it like any car
