Not with most companies but I believe some do, will mean you have to stay with them.when you pass and cost might not be competative,

find someone that will do it i was with co-op
jus have it tpft for first year as it will drop cheap enough for fully comp the next i found :thumbsup:

I do agree to get the up as soon as possible, but you don't usually build them up until you have a full licence.

I had a driving instructor at first and then my dad added me to his car as a learner, I only got insurance in my own name when I started driving on my own.

If you get your own insurance you may start to build no claims (but not too sure depending on the company) but be careful as the premium will shoot up when you pass because as a learner you cant drive alone, as soon as you pass they expect you to be driving alone so a much greater risk of having an accident.

I agree with percy here go on your rents cover for a while to save a little cash for your own cover.

or as i said in your other thread try some of these things to get your own cover down
