So yeah its always pretty expensive the first couple years, Apparently elephant are pretty good.

i am 19, i have been driving as a named driver for almost two years now and the lowest quote for a 1.6 si was £2,300 ish? does this sound about right or is there some other places i should be trying? i live in a pretty low risk area too. |

mate keep lookin definitely you will find somethin the most i paid was 1200 but that was TPFT on my first car as i was jus runnin it into the ground was a L reg 1.4 escort did me well for jus over a year ha that was at 17/18 yrs old im now 24 with 3years no claims i pay 500 notes a year fully comp with absolutely everythin included on my si try swiftcover.com all online no changing policy fee so can swap cars for free  oh and iv got 6points

My first quote for my si was 3500, with nothing. I drove it for a while on someone elses insurance but then it broke so it was off the road for abit. When i got it fixed last august i obviously still ncb andy quote is 1500 so i went with that im 23 and been driving 3yr. |

i wouldnt bother giving sky *Aka Rip off merchants* insurance a ring, go with a reputable company like need 2 insure who support young drivers and tell you the full story without just taking your money. |

my renewal came in and its £1057 for a year because i got my 1year ncb, basically its doen £500 from last year! |

have u tried direct line i was with them and i got a qoute 750 with 1year ncb at 21 years old and that was with a years breakdown |

lol iv been really lucky when i am a named driver at the age of 18 went from a 1.1 classic that was my fierst car 730 for the year then my si the year after was 780 :p that was with quin by the way |

I got an online quote yesterday,i am doing lessons atm, but should be passed the test by xmas.....so looking at getting another si,, im 22, eg; will have had license for 2months, 2 named drivers for £1400, thought it was quite good considering my mate is paying £1300 for a 1.25 mk4 fiesta lol |
