Firstly I will have 7 years no claims, and am removing commuting and reducing mileage from 6k to 4k and prices are still £100 more than last year.

More oddly, my garage will be empty again soon so tried a quote if I lock it up... the price increases.

After reading up that my area may be the problem with thefts I ticked the tracker option... the price increases.

WHATS GOING ON!!!!!

Buying an ST and jumping up 6 insurance groups would really help.

As it is adding the exhaust and induction only added £20 which is fair enough.

Increasing my excess works, but i think £250 is already high enough.

Out of interest I am looking at £650 with 7 years NCB and i am 26!!!!

Whats the fine for driving with no insurance?

Post subject:  Re: Coming Up To Renewal and Prices Are Going Up!!

By all means statistics may say I am more likely to get my car stolen, yet trackers or garages don't seem to help.

By all means my insurance has been more in the past, but I have a proven record of 7 fucking years!

I even looked at third party only and it didn't drop much despite the fact i would get nothing if it was stolen.

How about I just sell my car and walk everywhere... Wait I will get shot/stabbed living in fucking iraq and all.

Funny how in america and austrailia car insurance is optional and it works just fine, never mind moving south, how about moving country!

Yes it is about being an accountant, If I thought the charge was fair I wouldn't be ranting but can anybody say that it honestly looks right.

I may phone some companies later and when they give me stupid prices ask if it would be cheaper in iraq or if I build a bomb proof shelter and get the car to have a full batcar bullet proof lockdown.

Is there any insurance companys who will give me insurance for £1 if I have a £10k excess?

Post subject:  Re: Coming Up To Renewal and Prices Are Going Up!!

How about I just go and write my car off for fun, the amount I have paid insurance over the last 7 years is more than my car is worth and I haven't had a fucking penny back. I need to claim to get some money back, just got to make sure it doesn't look like my fault and I get 'whiplash'.

No wonder people put in fraudulant claims, they are allowed to legally steal from me every year but its illegal to try and get any of that stolen money back.

At least my car should be ready if we get taken over by zombies and my bomb proof shelf and bullet proof car will be fine.

HOW MANY OF YOU ARE INSURED FOR ZOMBIES!

Who have you tried with ?

I looked for insurance for my sister in law on Sunday and DirectLine who I normally find cheap wanted £550, Tesco was also similarly priced. I tried Aviva and they came back with £350 and asked more questions about the car and driver as well

The only one I thought of after she had decided on Aviva was Churchill so they may be worth a shot as well

Also with the modifications are there any companies on the C2 forums that offer membership discount such as Chris Knott does on here ? Also worth a look into

Scott

I can go with Chriss Knott on performanceC2 but they discriminate against against people from Oldham as we are all scum.

andy mate you sound like your about to blow a gasket

i still cant understand why the price would increase with you doing everything in your power to help keep the car secure :?

maybe ollie or Tim can help answer why this is the case

ps. i'm not insured against zombies :o

Post subject:  Re: Coming Up To Renewal and Prices Are Going Up!!

prejudice in insurance and the fact that it seems totally tolerated by most people, purely because it is (allegedly) backed up by some statistics. Myself, as an individual young male, I might actually be the safest driver in the world, but simply because I share physical characteristics with people otherwise completely unconnected to me, that have in the past had more accidents, I am deemed unsafe. Why should I have to pay for mistakes of other people? Why should I be disadvantaged for the actions of others? If someone produced statistics that shorter people had more accidents than taller people, would society accept charging shorter people more for their car insurance? Of course not.

Surely its a fucking C2 in a locked garage with a tracker, should that be cheaper to insure than a cossie?

Why is sex and area discrimination aloud in insurance, the premiums I have paid over the years would lead to you think I am a dead cert for writing my car off.

Gasket is fine, just overheating.

I didn't mind too much at first, but after 7 years a joke is no longer funny.

that is a bit of a joke dude :( feel sorry for you man. i'd expect you to be paying around £450/500 with all the extras of fully comp.

try Keith Michaels, a-plan, skyinsurance, admiral, bell, elephant (i know they're the same group) adrian shitty flux (who i'm with sadly!) or even fluxonline. if no joy let me know and i'm sure i can find others that i've had good quotes from before.
