| Post subject: | Insurance companies with free styling mods? |
anybody know of any insurance companies that doe free styling mods....its that time where i'm gonna need to start looking for insurance soon.....and would prefer one that allows cosmetic mods free.....i know quinn direct to but i read on some sites they are crap and will bump the price up by tons when i pass my test |

i went through adrian flux and they got me a company thats would insure the car with the 2.0 in it and any other performance parts, anything cosmetic that didnt increase the cars speed or performance was free, eg the xr kit, alloys and tints on mine they listed but didnt have to pay extra and if i damage the car the non standerd parts still get replaced with what i had on the car, eg if i damaged one of the zs wheels i get a new zs wheel  ill find out what the company is called

I was with quinn as a learner, was paying £87 a month before I passed, told them i passed then they charged me £180 a month ! I was well skint till i went on an insurance search again and kwik fit started quoting me £64 a month, on my 1.6 Si, im only 18 aswell! Ring kwik fit mate, they are awesome if you phone em, shit if you do an internet search. |

did they put it up after passing your test? how much is your policy if you don't mind me asking and is it TPFt or fully comp....i take it your a named driver on your dads policy(think you told me this before)? |

yea it pretty much doubled! its now about 1200 quid TPFT with me named second driver on my dads name. |

It'll always go up when you pass your test, you're going to be on the road more, and on your own, so you're more of a risk. And we can see you have a reason for going as a named driver, and that's fine, but all I'll say is you will regret it the longer you leave it not being on your own policy and earning proper no claims bonus. Paul's right aswell, if you can do your pass plus, then do it and reap the benefits.

yeh, will probably get on ym own policy once i have a bit of cash saved up and then i can drive the car as much as i like.... mum did mutter something about paying for me to do pass plus as the insurance is like a big bday present so if its gonna reduce it i'll probabky get it done....will jsut have to risk the A-levels with a week off school to do it or however long it takes?

lol, the £100 for the certificate sounds simple, but yeah tbh i would rather do the pass plus itself as its helping you to be safer on the road with your pride and joy Sound like my dad there^
