Got rid of the Audi last month so got round to phoning up an cancelling the insurance today, so after getting charged £50 by them to cancel the policy (arseholes!!) it worked out a fiver cheaper to cancel than it did let it run its course to April.. go figure?!?
But that is not the best bit, oh no!! I had 8 years no claims on the Audi's policy so I dug out the Fiestas policy and I only had 3 years on that so I thought kerching, phone up Adrian flux, swap the no claims over and get a few quid back.

So I called up and spoke to them and they went away and worked out how much I'm gonna save, they took quite a while so I thought this is gonna be a good day. The bird came back on the phone "Ok Mr. Murray, I've worked it all out and if you change to your 8 years no claims you wil get a refund of.." Yes, I thought, here comes the mother load "...£6.51p. Do you want me to go ahead with this?"

I can honestly say I have never been so fucking gob smacked in all my puff!!

Bunch of thieving fuckers!! I'm tempted to phone them back next month and ask them what it'll cost me to change back to 3 years no claims!! Dicks!!

Now that I have had time to rant about it in the office and think about i a bit more, i'm sure there is probably some £30 admin fee or some other ass-raping way of getting money out of me which has dropped the actual saving down but it was the way she just came straight out with £6.51, didn't even play it up. Fuckers!!!

Right, off the box now I'm away to right some reports and mutter "cunts" under my breath for the next few hours!

I've already spent my refund on some ice pops, joob joobs and a packet of space raiders

I must admit I don't mind insurance companies really, I spoke to them after and there was a £25 admin fee so should have saved me £30, which is around 10%. Still not the monumental drop you would expect from 3 to 8 years but m'eh!!

I did a directline quote yesterday to annoyone of the guys in here who pays heaps for his Impreza STi. Did me, with my wife on the policy for an RS6 - £270 Fully Comp

LOL, well I say old, I'm only 31 but I think the married with kids thing helps a lot!!

I remember being pulled over and being told I was old enough to know better... cheeky fucker, he got a well thought out mouthfull from me for that. The joys of working with the police is you know how far you can push the scrotes, and as he had fuck all on me and the motor was legit a nicely re-worded Fuck you went down a treat with his colleague... coming to think on it though, he didn't look much chuffed when I turned around and drove away

Kids make insurance rise, not drop. I used to think having kids lowered insurance however after looking into it insurance companys see them as a destraction when driving rather than making you look more responcible.

I stand corrected, insurance quote with kids £350, without £320.

Yet another reason for them to hurry up and be over 16/move out
