One thing I can say that annoys me, not the 1.2 but:

My mate owns a 1.4 GLS, I read up on them 88BHP, In a straight line race, his is standard except a £15 cone filter, and my 1.6 90BHP fiesta induction kit, superchip, Dosen't win! He keeps up the whole way, we've done a couple of attempts and sometimes he even edges fowards depending on the start, His tyres squeeel so bad in 1st and sometimes on 2nd gear change :P but I just don't know how he keeps up. :x although I don't hear a peep from him when i'm miles away in the corners ;)
