Right, finally spoken to David who is the course secretary for Curbrough Sprint Track.

Although he only normally does midweek stuff, we can have a Friday booking in early September so the date is:

Friday 7th September

And we can have 10 cars on the full course or 15 cars on the short course. Basically the short course isn't short, it just doesn't have the run up:



The cost is £565 for the day and the morning session is 10am until 1pm then 2pm until 5pm and we are running the short course which allows 15 cars so the price is SILLY CHEAP at £37.67 each

Remember as mentioned in the other thread here: viewtopic.php?f=112&t=22538 you can probably come down the night before, we'll have some drinks and food or whatever so no rushing around early morning stylee.

Either, Short course would be better for price as its going to cost me enough as it is but yeah i'm not fussed either way just let me know when and i'll get it off and attend

Yeah, it is much cheaper on the short course too.

I'm personally voting for Short Course, but I can do either day.

I think there are other times on the Curborough website that you can compare against, but as a note to everyone: You do not need to have your runs timed, you can simply taz around thr sprint track doing your own thing if you prefer!

I think most of us will be on road tyres and I dare say there will be much difference between any of us overall!

It will be interesting though...

I'd like some slicks but can't justify the £150 per tyre, and then 100 odd on some spare rims *just yet* Aiming for that to be a Christmas present.

Passenger rides will be fine, but I can double check. I will also confirm the need for helmets. I'm not sure they are required on a sprint track.

Will also have the GoPro there for some incar footage.

I think going to the Ring before this track will be sliighhttttlllyyy underwhelming, but for the price, it's a great chance for a car meet, have some fun, etc.

just don't bin it at the Ring - Should be fine though, Saxo's are capable rocket ships. Just make sure you get a geo setup done before you go, even if it's a cheap basic jobbie! That's my only advice - My car held me up so much because it's out quite a bit and wasn't planted enough
