earlier on this evening took out a tree with the front end of my car, was absoloutly heart-broken when i saw the front end of the car, at the moment my car has budget tyres and wheels on at the front, so luckily the alloys are not damaged, however i dont know the extent of the car damage, will definatly need a new bumper, we tried to repair this one (as you can see in the foto) but its quite bent behind, and dont know whats going on with the gearbox, will see how everything is in the morning
basically chopped a 10ish foot tree in half though
this is the photo: note the front bumper has been straightened, it looks kinda bent behind :cry:

luckily though everyone was alright, im just crossing my fingers that the car can be fixed

been there, bumped that! chances are the inner wing is bent which can be a fooker to get right again.
i bent the slam panel, inner and outer wings, needed a whole new front panel and new bonnet.

my wing cost me ?25.
i bought a slam panel which i never used
front panel from ford was ?100
bonnet ?50, but its vented. standard one will cost ?20?
new bumper ?60 w/fogs

its not a cheep do, but you've chuck money at it before and made it yours. i could've jacked mine in and bought another car, but didnt. dont worry mate :wink:

it'll be ok

Bad luck on crashing. When I did mine didnt look like much but alot of the mechanical bits were bent and I wrote it off, which sucked alot!

Strange though that it doesnt look bad in photo's as when I wrote my old Si off, the pics of it didnt look bad at all

Have a look in the light of day and assess what you can do with it

thanks for that offer, is it a Si bumper and how much wud ya want for it? still havent been able to go see the car as everyone is too busy to take me but shud go a bit later

right me and Paul went to have a look at it earlier and drive it home, personally i prefered what it looked like in the night, just spent about 7 hours working on it too, a few pictures to show what has happened, including one of the tree, when we went back it was kinda bigger than i remember, closer to about 15 ft :O

Thats definately a write off. Damage on mine looked much less and that was a write off. Its not just them panels you see there, there's a whole load of underlying structural disfigurement which would probably require it to be put on the jig to set it back into proper shape.

As they always say about crash repaired cars - it'll never drive the same.

without wanting to be mean or heartless - i wouldnt bother with it. is significantly more damaged than mine and mine cost a fair chunk to repair by the time you've replaced it with new parts, and painted it, it'll cost what the car is worth. (i paid around ?250 for paint alone, without labour!) For how cheeply you could buy a replacement for, i'd suggest breaking this one, and buying another with the money, or the insurance pay-out
