The old owner put some clear ford scratch protectors round the locks. And underneith i could see some nasty rust growing.

I bought some tacky carbon fibre ones at halfords so this rust could be hidden for FITP. So i bit the bullet and peeled off the old ones........and it was mud and not rust!!! One of them looked rusted to bare metal but it was just an air gap!!! i was happy as larry :D

So i treated my calipers drums to some blue paint.

And i have a new amp and the ice works again.

All in all a damn good day :D

rust drove me to an insane decision.

It was the lowest i have been in my life....standing in halfords umming and arrring between fake carbon and BLUE fake carbon lock protectors.

mine had them carbon fiber jobbies running down the edge of the door when i first got mine! first thing i did was rip em off when i got home, downside was mine were compltely rusty underneth and it took nearly the complete edge of the door with it lol!
