well portuguese policemans are quite strange too, ive heard/seen many wierd fines for WTF?? things.

ive been on a portuguese forum and some guys were saying that we cannot even turn on the gps if we are alone in the car, and if there is some1 more it has to be turned to the passager. this seemed a bit ridiculous to me, bu t one of those guys actually get a fine from a police officer in there( portugal). is GPS legal to use in UK ?, since i got one |

HaHa, drunk policeman is classic! And i be he still does a better job than those over here. An awful lot of new cars have built in sat nav, don't imagine they'd ever be that strict on it. But like most have said, i set my location when stationary, and then there's no need to operate whilst on the move, just pay attention to where you've got to go. I find it useful on country roads as it lets me know what is up ahead, corners and junctions etc, oftern before i can actually see them, allowing me to drive accordingly to what's ahead. |

i only use me sat nav when going on long journeys id probably get in more trouble for having the dvd player on whilst driving
