Anyone else go through that stage and think 'why do I bother?'. I'm currently going through that stage, so many annoying things wrong on the car, so many things I have bought put on her, but no time to fit, nothing on the car seems to be right at the moment.... Any of you lot ever felt like this? Any wise words of wisdom from anyone?? Paul. |

Yeah mate, know exactly how you feel at the moment. I've really gotten into my car in the last year and have really enjoyed doing bits to it, and now the bodywork seems to have ground to a halt. I've been in a job working my ass off for about 8 months as a trainee manager, and it comes to my review, expecting to be considered a manager now, and I get a shitty 4% pay rise (about 20p an hour) and I'm waiting for my boss to tell me that my hours have been changed to 9 pm finishes every night. I need to find a place to live, but can't do it without money. So it's a case of keep my job and find a place to live and keep workin on the car, but be unhappy. Or jack it all in, live with the parents for a while, stop working on the car, and find a job I might actually enjoy. Who said that getting a degree was the answer to everyon'e problems? ![]() |

A week to go to FITP now, and not much has been sorted on the fiesta which is a major bummer as I wanted it tidy for it. Looks like i'll have to hide my car at this rate ![]() |

ive been working all weekend on electrics and mechanics of the car but im no bodyshop guru, but i can tell the cars fooked on the side of bodywork, some angles it looks great, others it looks so bodged rusty you would not believe. that dark cloud above my head is a bodyshop / amatuer bodyshop bloke: fee of about ?800 to get it all sorted ![]() ive been tempted by my first love - pug 306 hdi so might go back to one of those, just wanted this car to be something a bit less common.. tell ya what, if you take your car to fitp you can park next to me, then it wont look half as bad ![]() |

![]() i fed up with my in-car screen, was looking really good, then realised i was an inch too big to fit under the dash so had to keep taking chunks of plastic away until it would fit and then i got in a flap because it was all screwed down and i need to fit the wiring for my alarm unit which is in the center console, then i remembered that i had forgotten my boot release button. so much effort. exhaust fell off again the other day so refitted this evening at work, still bodged with renault clamps and nearly half a tube of exhaust paste. anti roll bar still on order, so is water pipe, effort. cant be bothered. |
