Well...... I had my car keys stolen last night! Cut a long story short, Been working away all week in harrow (its a Dump somewhere down south) and got back late last night 10.30ish so went to see my Girl Friend, was only stopping 2 mins, so pulled up, she was in her garden, so i turned the ignition off and but left keys in (didn't want to piss her neighbours off with the noise) thought nothing of it as it was only 2 mins, when i returned to my car, went to start it and the keys had gone, it had been put in gear and the wheel lock had been engaged. After looking around think maybe a did take them out (and forgot) we relised that some Pikey coont had took them! Luckly i have a CAt 1 Alarm on my car so the immoboliser auto arms when ignitions not on after 10seconds, so it looks like the tried to take it but the immobiliser thankfully stopped them! So pissed off as we never heard a peep, was only on the other side of the fence 5m's away at the most and 2 mins!!! So ill get my alarm and Locks sorted tommrow hopefully! What a prat i am! SO remember kids NEVER leave your keys in your car for NO amount of time, you may be not as lucky as me! |

[cry] matt your one lucky soul, i would have cried if your sexy beast was knicked(not as much as you tho) is your GF's area know for that sort of stuff?that god for the immobiliser tho but when you've had a hard day at work and finish late you tend to do silly things[cry] *note to self.... cat1 alarms are worth every penny* good luck with the new locks tho matt |

You lucky, lucky boy! As a matter of course, I never leave my keys in the car when Im out of it, and only when the car is in a secure location and Im cleaning it at the very most are the keys left in sometimes. But even then Im very cautious. Take it as a lesson learnt Matt...lucky boy! |

i am assuming(i am being FIK here) that as your keys are in the ignition and your car is stolen your insurance becomes void? dont beat yourself up too much matt, you got away with it luckily, just try not to do it again other wise you might not be so lucky next time[cry] |

yea, I never leave my keys in, even when my car is outside the house and I get something out the garge lol ... however that is prob a OCD, but you lucky boy, could have been so much worse! |
