Make sure it is your waterpump and not a cheap pipe first. The leak I had was the lower rad hose, where it connects at the t-section near the top on the left. You couldnt see the leak to start off with, but I obviously knew about it as it got worse and could see the coolant coming out. The way it dripped down was then onto the alternator. Its quite a common part to go apparantly, as the hose section is kind of moulded on, and this just disintergrated on mine. This is just another option for you rather than splashing out on the waterpump only to find its not that, but only a simple pipe ![]() |

Actually just checked my invoice for the job and it was ?260.32 with a discount of ?14.85 as im a AA member and it was carried out by them. From what i can gather looking at the receipt they charged me ?75.08 for the cambelt kit and ?110 labour. ?51.59 for the water pump and ?38.50 labour. so a little bit cheaper than the ?300 i originally stated. |
