OK, i was looking at lexus lights for my mk4 but i recently had a brain storm that i might go for smoked rear lights? Opinions on them?? Also, are they legal? I know lexus ones are ok but are they cool? Will (s.p.d.) |

yep they are legal provided they display the correct colour light to the rear...most dont have internal reflectors so you should fit some really..loads of peeps dont! but you should..... |

I have smoked rears on my mk3 never had a problem and Guy has smoked lexus on his mk4 should be fine. |

The black lexus ones have a bit more cred than the chromey polished ones. But yeah, to be 100% legal they will have to have a set of reflectors stuck on. I used to have smoked ones on my Mk 4 and Ry has them now, they have white reflectors (Should be red) but I never got pulled for em. |

 the lights on my car work fine, got pulled, got checked, got sent on my way for perfectly legal lights,
even my mot tester said they were fine if i put reflectors on the back, which i keep in the car, if you cant be behind someone with somked lights i suggest you over-take or give plenty of space, |
