o/t but i hate people who are driving cars with xeonon headlights WHICH either have faulty level sensors or just generally crap height adjustment

Yeah you can but they're fog lights. For use in fog. The beam patttern wouldn't benefit you in your country road night driving. I have driving lamps on the GTI and the beam is long, very wide and very bright. The Si fogs shine very low and about 5' in front of the front bumper. Generally useless. If plod catch you, it'll be £30 and possible MOT failiure. |

Fogs make knackers all difference in the dark. Anyone who claims they are using them to "see better down dark roads" is a clod. Just try it, go down a dark road turn your fogs on and see just how much further down the road you can see. Then use your high beams instead and see the difference. Then try both fog and high beam, there would be no visible benefit from having both on. If you want brightness just buy some PIAA rally pods from demon tweeks. Admitidly, I'm talking from the point of view of owning a Mk 4 which has a sepearte high beam bulb which is fooking bright (with clean glass) rather than a twin fillament like the Mk 3. |

when i have my full beam on, yes i see far when i have my full beam and my fogs on down the roads near mine i can see the little fucking animals that keep running out, hitting a fox at 60 does some damage you know!!
