went to collect my 2.0ltr engine today and after 20miles on the way back, my car lost all power, so i pulled into the left hand lane and went down a gear to see if i that would work, but to no joy so i pulled on to the hard shoulder, and as i did the car cut out and as i went to start her up my mate said, "think its time we got out", looked up and there was smoke coming out the engine bay, so i got out n got my fire extinguisher, thinking she not goin with out a fight!
and when we popped the bonnet the smoke was cumin from behind the engine, and the air filter want connected, so just thought dont want to risk damaging the engine any more so called my recovery, and the phone box near us was number 666!
and when they came they told me my head gaskets gone, so it looks like im putting the 2.0ltr in earlyer than expected! but the recovery bloke chuckled saying your lucky you've go another engine, so all in all a very eventfull day!
