Right.. as i dont know everything about cars, is there a guide or anythin on the net about stripping everythin out of the si? maybe the haynes manual explains most of it but i dont have one

its just id rather get loads of usefull stuff out of it, like wiring looms etc etc

good learning curve too for me

:? Just undo stuff until it comes off. Cars are nothing but nuts and bolts so get stuck in. You don't need to read a book to tell you how to unscrew stuff do you?

Front bumper. Two big bolts that hold it onto the front panel and maybe a couple of screws either side of the wheel arches.
Spoiler. 2 pot rivets. Drill them out and put the hatch up, flip off the caps and unscrew the 4 bolts.
Seats. 4 bolts hold the subframes into the floor.

et al.

Good luck stripping it. If you're hoping to make money on it you'll find 90% of it is worthless crap. The only thing worth anything on an Si is the bumpers, seats and alloys if it has any.

well i can make the money back plus a lil bit more, and use some of the bits for mine.. then take the whole car to thompson metals and get payed for it yay, i got a whole 15 quid for a metro last year lmao

get the ecu from the passenger side kick panel out, rip that plastic kick panel out and i think the ecu under there?

or infact it might be up behind the glovebox right up at the back.. not sure!! lol

steering wheel with airbag that be useful too

if you can get:

1.ecu,
2.key,
3.transponder ring (from around ignition switch), (take the steering wheel cowlings off and unscrew the ring)
4.ignition barrel
5.door locks barrells
6.boot lock barrels

then you'd be able to make a nice little sum out of them cause yeah!! lol

Yeah, only thing is i was gonna use the key, the door locks, ignition barrel and get that transponder bit out for mine.. then again i could sell them and get 2 new door locks for mine when i can be arsed

be my guest and take it after ive sold most of the bits from it

nobody wants it, and its pointless trying to put it back onto the road.. also i wouldnt like to sell something i know has had been driven like a twat by the last 2 owners and its rusty..

its not perfectly good and would cost alot of money just to be a decent working car

im happy enough to sell the parts to help everybo else with Si's to get theirs up to scratch and keep them in good working order..

i would have kept it and spent loads on it if i didnt have mine, and personally i prefer mine even tho its a 5 door

lol sorry i thought it was your 5 door not that 3 door but still could make a good car with filler breakers are useful though for cheap ford rs bits but they specialise in braeking crashed or blown cars not ones that work fine we do loads of work for fast ford in fleetwood who break all cars but if it is a good car he will get it repaired only break it if totally knackered or really written off now that ford spirit !
