Hi everyone I'm new on here, Right I have a mk5 1.25 Zetec S Replica on gaz coilovers and has been fully resprayed in moondust silver ( original colour). this was going to stay as it was because it was going to be my daily driver its only done 72,000 and is a great runner, I always wanted a ZS so this was the next best thing, however i landed a job as a salesman one of the perks was a company car......no need for the fiesta now but i didnt want to get rid off it as ive always been after one so its the perfect excuse to take it apart and have a fiddle and make it track spec its already been stripped and the top half of engine off etc, I've been considering the 1.7 puma lump but for what i want (160bhp+) its not going to be the easiest, driving VXR's doesnt help as i'm now looking down the turbo route....basically im looking for some guidance on what route to go down. Cost isn't really a problem as im not looking to rush it and i want it done properly not some bodge as its garaged and not in the way of anything, Any help would be great, I can upload pics aswell its not a chav-mobbile it's subtle and want it to be abit of a sleeper. BTW ALL MODS WILL BE CLAIMED ON INSURANCE ONCE COMPLETED!!! THANKS!!! |

Welcome mate, car sounds nice, get some pics up. Have you thought about itb 1.7 puma lump? Iv heard of good performance from then. Then there's cams, chris zs got 151bhp from his 1.6 through cams and remap. |

Yeah I've thought about a few things i do love a turbo just the noise of it but i do like flat out power and no lagg theres so many contradicting things to look at i think puma will be the way i go as its the easiest and there quite tunable but it will definatley have to be cammed re-mapped etc its handling nicely and struts are soon to be on there way and looking at some rs2000 alloys like the look of some of the euro fiesta's about but want to keep it subtle.......only thing is all the bump strips have been smothed and sprayed moondust silver aswell so going to get the roof wrapped gloss black to break it up abit? |

I like the sound of that, black and Silver go well together. Like I said in the first post don't forget a out throttle bodies, iv seen 0-60 in the 6-7seconds with itbs. |
