Hello all, I think i have found what i think to be a good RS1800 gear box for sale for my si project. all being well im going to go an have a look at it on sunday. The thing is how do i identify it is a genuine rs 1800 gear box is there any numbers and or markings on them to identify them below is a quick picture any advice would be greatly appreciated Almost fogot to add is there any ways of checking them for ware / damage or anything i should look for before i buy |

Guess its to late now for the gearbox question haha, i generally look for sparkly bits in the oil to determin whether its knackered the rs1800 boxes look pretty much the same as any other ib5 box part numbers on the box will confirm what its from, on a different note your signature probably only works for your self as its pointing to a local file (unless thats intended) C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\Owner\My%20Documents\My%20Pictures\MY%20SI'S\M775%20WWT |

rs1800 bc box is the same as an xr2i 16v box |
