Thats interesting indeed. I was actually having a conversation about oils with someone the other day and about how thinner oils are better for your car for more power. That new millers stuff could make a big smark in the automotive oil world! No doubt companies will say it has the nanotech in it when it hasnt. |

The phrase "nanotechnology" makes me laugh when I see it My job is basically researching engine oil additives, and everything added is within the nano scale. Its a word that companies use to make things sound more technical/advanced than they are. It basically means the stuff that is added is very small (in the nanometer size range), and the truth is if it wasnt that small, it would do more harm than good to the oil anyway

Good to know Dave! I will always use a high end brand in oils, but I do have reservations about it increasing power output by that much of a percentage, common sense says that surely it's more to do with the blend than the "nano" additives. It's out in March so I can't wait to see if anyone bothers to do a high number of tests to get a good picture of any increases. |

I thought oil just kept your engine lubricated? How on earth does that give you more power? |
