Hi Chaps, I have bought an Si race car which needed a new ECU. (The old blew when the terminals were incorrectly wired up). Anyways, after much searching I managed to find the correct ECU for my car, a 2FBC as per the blown ECU). Plugged it in this weekend, and the car the car would fired up upt to 1.5k, and then immediately stall. I couldn't keep the car alive with the throttle. I am struggling about what to do next, and in honesty I am cr*p with cars and learning my way. If anyone is local enough to have a look and help please let me know- happy to pay up! Going to look at air valve next? Basically going to take apart the air box and dig around! (tested the battery at Halfords and its 12v). Kam- 07595587473. |

Sounds like broken wires to the maf, unplug it and see if it starts and.stays running. |

Will give it a go next time I am in my lock up. The other thing is, it does not do this everytime. Sometimes it would just crank over and fire up at all, some times it would fire up and then stall. Been a right pain.. Kam |

Usually pull it off and spray some carb cleaner up there or some other kind of degreasing spray. |

Cheers for the advice; will try and head down to the lock up at some point. Not having an electric supply, and it being pitch black (and cold!) doesnt help week day working when working 8am-6pm behind my desk doesnt help! |

Even though it's cold, dark and most likely damp, get a project thread going ![]() |

Hi Chaps, Managed a poor 30 mins with Zippy over the weekend, and away again this weekend. Anyway, disconnected the MAF and it made no difference. Next step, is the ICV valve and problem service it at the same time. Planning on getting someone in, or moving via a flat bed when I find some one decent to get it up and running- I just dont get the time ![]() |
