What sort of MPG (or miles to £x if easier) do you get. I'm looking for a more fuel efficient car but with a bit of go. I definitely don't want a dull diesel eurobox....... |

Can depend on what gearbox you use sometimes, some have different ratios, for instance the diesel 5th gear is long, so you can cruise at 70 at about 2k rpm I think, thats more fuel efficient. |

i wouldnt just dismiss a Diesel, i also run a 150bhp diesel vectra a the torque of a diesel can make it feel quick especially if you chip it |

I've always wondered about the MPG on a 2L with a good 5th. My 1.6 is doing crappy MPG simply because it's now older than the bloody planet. |

I'm currently doing 35mpg a tank. Thats a 2.0ltr with cams, ported head, racing manifold with no cat, erst gearbox and a heavy right foot. |

I heard there pretty good on fuel, there a nice torquey engine so dont need to rev the cunt off it to get some go. |

Mine is actually doing really well on fuel, and I have been giving the beans everywhere!! Done about 100 miles to quarter of a tank, which i think is pretty damn good! |
