Hey guys, can anyone tell me what a reasonable asking price would be for a 1.6 zetec from an si. In good condition and done around 93000 miles. Cheers

I wouldn't think you'd get more than £100 Most people could buy another for the price of changing an engine. Probably buy another 2 actually

I think the problem is finding someone that wants a1.6 when you can get a 1.8/2.0 for similar money. |

Just take it apart and learn how to do something like a headgasket. It may well save you in the future. If you break anything, it won't matter. Slap it on an engine stand and learn the internals

Des that does sound like a good plan but the guy that does alot of the stuff i cant do on the car is interested and the money could really help on other things. was really just wondering how much i should be asking for it. If he's changed his mind now (it has been a while since we last spoke) that will be the new plan

got to wait until the engine swap which is happening on the 19th this month (fingers crossed) but still havent decided what i will do. |

sold mine for £70, sold my 2.0 for £85, prices really vary from £50-£100 depends who wants it, for what and how badly
