so the fezz failed its mot the other day.. quite a few daft things and a tiny bit of welding but one fail i didnt understand.. theres a bit of play in my steering wheel... i could shake it up and down and it will move a bit, also it failed on the bearing in the steering wheel colulmn. anyone had any similiar chew? cheers |

The UJ at the bottom of the column has failed. Turning left to right do you feel a weird blip of tightening and loosening? |

Yep, definitely it. Can't remember the specifics but it's simple to replace following a Haynes manual. It's awkward to get to more than anything. |

Its just a joint held on with 2 bolts, but as said.. pain in the arse, probably a lay under the car job |

It's a Bitch without a ramp simple job though part is like £10 or just get a garage to do it half hour labour probably. |
