Brother in law wants a car;

he is 21, has no ncb, has had a license for 4 years but has been at uni


he wants a clio or corsa (dont they all)

we've looked at:

ka's - rusty fillers or sills
clios - gremlins and crash damage
corsas - thrashed and modded
fiestas - all old than 2002 therefore rusty
saxo - sheds

its hard, we've been to 13 garages today, almost no car had full history or previous mots. lots of garages asking 2500 for cars with 4 months mot and one month tax. :lolz:

Private no had much luck.

needs to be clean and relaible

with regards to corsas and clios whayt am i looking for in terms of checking them?

Saxo's usually more than the 106's. Fi's was one of the cheapest cars she could find as a 106 car. Fi's sister has a Suzuki Alto, again cheap on insurance. Other than that he can try a classic car.. But not exactly a babe magnet to most girls.

Saying that, what about a Mini?

I wouldnt spend 2500 on a car if I had no ncb at 21, the missis 1.2 corsa 98 has been perfect, cost £700 and in great nick, had it 2 years and still runs perfect. Also no rust at all. It has a dint on bonnet but not bad.

2005 mini for £4,500 :P 3000 miles, lotus green, prefect condition. i know its pricey but worth a try!
