Hi i am trying to look at installing a new amp this weekend but i think i may need some advice on the setup of the stereo and the amps .. my setup is 2 JBL sub woofers 1000watts 250 rms and my stereo has built in sub woofer Low pass filter . so i am ask if i use the stereo (radio) sub woofer control with low pass filter would i need to se the amp to nomal and not as a sub woofer amp ??? |

You can do both, basically you headunit will only output below what you say, if you tell your amp to filter below that it will filter but there will be nothing for it to filter. In short either way it will work, I will add for info my amp is set to normal and the low pass is used on the headunit. I would recommend using a high pass on the other speakers to. |

on my amp i have settings for my amp chan 1 and chan 2 can be bridge to 180 rms in to 4 ohms filter settings are HPF and FULL chan 3 and chan 4 can be bridge to 180 rms in to 4 ohms filter settings are LPF and FULL so if i set the setttings to full range and then just use my stereo Low pass fillter to drive the amp ??? |

In short yes, you amp will filter whatever you tell it, but if the head unit isn't sending anything in that filter range it won't matter anyway. |
