Motorway speed limit was meant to be at 80mph donkeys years ago, they just never got around to doing it, and also because cars back then couldnt even reach that speed.
As for undertaking, thats always been illegal, so dont see why they are making a fuss of that, obviously 3 points hasnt put anyone off so far.
Cutting people up, well yeah thats a good thing, but then it all comes down to judgement of the police officer. I mean, you could be wanting to get infront of someone, and be indicating, they flash and you cut in, but the cop could see it a different way and do you for it. So that will cause arguments - obviously on board cameras will be in use and may see the flash or whatever, but still, some cops are nobs.
Tailgaters... nothing new there either, already comes under dangerous driving.
So really to say these are 'new' changes, they arent, they have been in force since the road traffic act was introduced, but they are just changing the way they deal with it.
As has been said, you drive like a twat, you suffer the concequences. Personally I think younger, or new drivers get away with stuff to easy too. And as for chavs and boyracers who drive like twats in their cars, police should be alot harder on them. A pissy 3 points and a fine for driving like a twat, stuff that, take their car away and crush it.
Its people like the chavs who go around in their shitty unsafe cars pushing it over the limit are the people who generally kill people and do the most damage. There is a time and a place to do it, its called a racing circuit, if they cant afford to drive like a dick on that, then can they afford 3 points and a £60/£100 fine? No, so why do it.
Anyway, rant over, im off to do speeding handbrake turns, tailgate and undertake while talking on my mobile phone and smoking a spliff.
