Most of you know my car here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13463 Just trying to get an idea of what its worth. Only problem is the gearbox which ill get sorted, also tax for 6 months and MOT for 12 months.........what do you think ? |

We've had this thread before! You know it  Like before, its worth a good amount, tops £2000. But its a case of getting a buyer. You more likely to get a grand for it and that could even prove difficult unless the right person is looking at the right time! |

Would never break it but might downgrade some of the parts if I end up selling and it's not fetching the money. Polished parts and the Samcos under the bonnet cost me about £1k, tyres are brand new and the rare lower profile of 195/40/r16 and were about £300. Loads of new parts on this that haven't done 1 mile yet, new rad, lower arms and bushes etc |

Exactly, your never going to make what you want from it and would probably make the same ish standard and then all the money on top for the shiney bits etc. You shouldn't sell it

I really don't want to and I do love it. Selling my Leon isn't an option as it's my daily and does good mpg that I need, but in the last 12 months I've way over spent and got into trouble with the tax man that I had to get a loan to sort out and this cars sitting in the garage and hasn't moved for 18 months.......just seemed logical. Cars are my hobby but it's consuming too much of my money and not leaving me open to do other things like holidays etc. All the time I've got it the temptation to spend on it is gonna be there. I don't live with my parents, I rent a 4 bed house married with kids.......so you get the idea of my outgoings. If all the extra bits arnt gonna fetch any more money, then under the hood will go back to standard, same with the rims and possibly the cossie brake setup, and the standard Si bumper back on. As I said this isn't a for sale ad, just toying with the idea. |

Dont sell it lol I understand what you mean as Im in same position only not married yet lol. My car is no where near as good as yours but still cost money and barely moves but wouldn't get rid of it as I work my arse off so I think I deserve something lol. |

Well all car projects are on hold (I have 3 of them  ) till iam back to where I should be financially. Sad thing is I cleared all my debts so really dissapointed with myself that iam back here again........finance is also a big part of my job, need to implement some of my work skills into my personal life

you could sell some parts of it mate make a bit of money eg cams, chrome then put standard cams in for the time been i know it seems pointless but i wouldnt sell it or break it |
