Since I got mine a year ago there have been so many little things I've found wrong with it that I might have picked up had I known what to look for when I bought it. The buying guides on and are a good start, as is a good read through the maintenance section of the Mk3 Fiesta Haynes Manual. Check the service history (avoid it if there are big gaps) and make sure it had its cambelt around 60k. They should have reciepts for it as well as receipts for any major work or mods. The problem areas are usually rust (as with all Mk3 Fiestas), suspension bushes on the way out, and engines that have been thrashed. The usual extras should all work (electric windows, central locking etc), if not then knock down the price. Good luck! ![]() |
