If for instance i have £500 cash whats the best buy cars that people recommend? If you find good ideas but they come in at upto £750 feel free to post too, im interested to see what i can find for that kinda cash ![]() |

Saxo for the money does make sense. Buying performance for under £1k is quite hard, but then you've not said if it's for performance, as you've said "best". Loads of comfy and pimpin' car out there for under a ton! |

"Bang for Buck" means as much bang for cash, sounds bad that ![]() In other words as many bhp for money A saxo i have been told by many i would not be allowed to show my face ![]() My mate bought a escort S2 for £1000 but im sure i can do better than that surely (£1000 escort S2 will be a shonker, you need 3-4k for a decent S2) so don't take that as a dig lol I've been looking round Jap actually, my mate got his skyline R33 for £2500, but im looking round maybe old celica or mr2 Or maybe beemer? This is suggestions i need ![]() ![]() |

You can pick up anything with a stupid engine (eg. V6 / V8) fairly cheap.. for obvious reasons. |

£500 would get you a slightly rough rover 620TI (dont laugh) 200bhp lds gearbox half leather aircon 152mph awsome underated cars gearboxes are made of paper tho lol i've had 1 and the wife has had 2, i fitted an induction kit and s/s exhaust and it got a proven 218bhp. |

i know youll say no... Volvo 850 T5....non R models can and do go for about a grand...get one with plenty of toys and you might be suprised how nice a pipe and slippers car can be ![]() just dont expect it to get great mpg, 22-23 average is normal for the auto ![]() Jam. |
