so, new years day, wake up with a stonking hangover and no cigs, so go to the car for the emergency 10 pack. look on my wipers, someone has left a note (im extremely happy that they did, not a lot of people would). they scraped my rear o/s arch, and bumper, but have left thier number etc. i would rather not go through insurance, as i have a friend with a bodyshop who i trust, and would rather see my car be sorted there, what should i say to her? |

Just explain that you want to keep your insurance clean, so wondered if they wanted to settle it privatley, 9timesout of 10 they will want to do it private...and make sure that you are polite and thank them for being truthful, let us know what happens. Dean |

Same thing has happened to me actually, someone went into my door and gave it a massive dent. Luckily they left their number too which is good! He doesnt want to go through insurance, neither do i.. so ill be having him pay for it to be fixed.. or just give me the money

over small damage i'd prefer to leave insurance out. also it can sometimes take ages to get the damage fixed when they are involved. |

well we didnt even talk about insurance, so i assume she wants to do it privately  i just know that custom bumper + custom paintmatch is going to be big bucks so she might have to go through insurance which is a bit of a ball ache.

Nice that there are some decent folk around still, my boss scraped my rear bumper on the Impreza and didn't even tell me!

Big scratch on my rear bumper, big one on his front bumper. And the all important evidance, his scratch has WR Blue all in it!

I asked him if he realised that he's drove into my car. Couldn't deniy the proof. Getting it sorted.
