my mate is thinking about buying a 06 plate 1.4 diesel fiesta ghia and was wondering what people think of them.i dont do new cars cos i dont like the look of them but some people do and any opinion would be greatful.also does anyone know if they have a dual mass fly wheel. |

dont talk about mk6 fiestas on here. its a sore subject. ![]() i like them if: its a three door and it has the zetec spoiler on the bootlid. if not then no. |

Tell him to get it. Nothing wrong with them IMO, cheap to run, cheap tax and insurance. Could ST spec it to make it look better but whats the point. |

yeah i also learnt in one and it was a nice smooth drive, picks up really well (as much as my instructor let me) lol. bit too new though for me as you dont really have to drive it, if that makes sence!! |

As the lower models go there isn't a huge difference between most cars, so if he likes it then go for it. If you want performance at a good price then look elsewhere. ![]() |

i like them, for a diesel i'd go for the mk6 zetec s 1.6tdci, its a belting engine and good fuel econemy also with its sporty goodness. |

Depends what your friend wants? I have a 1.4 diesel mk6 and i tell you the torque surprised a few on here, if you focus on driving it, it will shift almost as well as petrol version If you get a 1.6 diesel and a remap youre laughing, but my 1.4 diesel returns me 76mpg on motorway and racing it round local roads gets me 50mpg It ain't fast but great runaround car and torque means good progress |

i was reading the pf mag and on a dyno the zetec s 1.6 with no mods produced 120bhp, better than the petrol equivalent |
