Can anybody suggest a good middle of the range car jack?, need something that I can carry a few feet but is sturdy enough to lift using the rear beam/torsion bar, also want a lot of lift so I can get more than just an arm under the car. I have one of the cheap 2 tonners atm and I can barely get enough lift to get the stands in, also it moves around a lot which has led to the car nearly falling off on a few occasions. Found this one so far, but would like more lift if possible. http://www.ccw-tools.com/product.asp?st ... Position=1 |

these ali machinemart ones are nice and light and good , depends a bit though on where you are using is, if outside on a gravel drive might not be the best though |

I am split between: http://www.ccw-tools.com/product.asp?st ... tRecord=51 and: http://www.ccw-tools.com/product.asp?st ... rtRecord=1 at 36kg I doubt I'll be able to lift the sealey rocket lift one but I've read its a great jack for garage use and heavier stuff, the 1250 seems a better choice for mobile use but I'm kinda set on the rocket lift so better start working out I think ![]() I'll be using it for doing bits to mine and mates cars so who knows what surfaces, I generally stay away from the soft stuff though ![]() |
