Considering a new project with a MK3 Diesel. Just looking for info about them and anything from personal experience. Performance, reliability, MPG etc etc ? |

Fair enough I used to drive a bean too. Shared it with my dad. But then got the fiesta. And when it had to go in for an alternator My god did I hate driving the micra again I felt stupid LOL, I was gonna say I can't see mk3's being a very quick deisel. Didn't even know there was a deisel. Lol you picked the right car out of the two no doubt

not had much experiance with a mk3 diesel but my mate used to have a mk2 diesel, same engine in a smaller lighter car, the mpg was good but it was soooooooo slow and the noise it was awfull if i said it sounded like a tractor id be insulting tractors, awfull awfull cars. |

Right. Anybody who wants to say Fiesta Deisels are crap... My insurance is £300 on one, compared to £500 on a zetec. Its been doing good MPG. Example:- Filled the tank, drove 130 miles on the motorway @ around 70-90 (mostly around the 80 mark) and it was on the good side of 3/4 of a tank when I got to my destination. Its a shed, which I dont care about driving into things, people scratching it etc. Its not modified so it wont break all the time. So its win win win. (if the engine goes pop, its going TD tho) |
