Post subject: | Question time |
On the drive home a moment ago. A smart car pulled out in front of me as I was speeding towards My bed, clearly this person was in a hurry.. Oh wait no. 30mph awesome. (yes I speed home, I'm tired and speeds limits don't count between 2am-7am. So as it turned left where I was also going ![]() Why? I can think of a. He's annoyed I overtook him (don't pull out in front of a speeding modified car?) B. He's saying sorry and acknowledging the fact he's (or she for that matter, probably more likely) a twat and shouldn't have pulled out. Apart from that it could just be plain ignorance. Crying over spilt milk situation "why did overtake me wahh wahh" hmmm. Someone explain if possible ![]() |

As said, its 30mph for a reason, even at night. I would have done more than flashed. |

Well I saw him pull out. Braked. Drove at the normal distance behind him. He turned left and so did I. And then on that stretch of road I overtook him. I didn't really see much of a problem with that. Still slightly confused as to why he/she would Care :S I didn't get in there way they could Drive Completely the same. I'd been up nearly 24 hours so I just wanted to get home. |

im guessing it was a 30mph you over took them aswell cant say i would be annoyed i dont really get annoyed when driving but i can see why they would be and did what they did and between 2am-7am you are more likly to get pulled cause its taxis and boy racers out so police are stright on it |

Cool. I just don't see how it made any difference to him. When i say "speed" home I don't mean 60-70 all the way. It's just like 10-15 over the limit sometimes Not even that. Still speeding I know. But the guy saw me coming, clearly knew I was going to be near the junction he was pulling out of soon as he ragged it out of the junction to get in front of me (why? Theres nothing on the road..?) and then flashes at me when I overtake him after turning a corner on a two lane straight road..? Maybe I should have Flashed him when he pulled out in front of me. ![]() |

If you just overtook like you stated in the last post then I'd ignore it. Sounded like you'd come roaring past them in a 30! Oldies have flashed me in the past when they've been doing 35 in a 50 and I've overtook. Infact if that happens again i'll overtake and then slow down to 15mph ![]() |

I was tired in the morning, I probably didn't explain properly (i'll take a look in a second) yeah i went roaring past, but that was from about 10 up to 30mph. Then went in and took off.. I just didnt see the reason for flashing me. Did no harm to them, its just as if we were on a dual carriagway or something, I wanted to accelarate quicker than them. So i changed lanes and went. next time i'll stop in the middle of the road and ask why I was flashed and explain there wasn't really a need to blind me, I was merely wanting my bed. |

You just need to be careful what you post lol as it made you look totally wrong at first lol But i've had that late night buying one of the cars off here and just want to get home at 3am in the morning, but you gotta have your wits about you Ive had someone doing 35 in a 50 and needed to get to work so waited for a long stretch of empty road and overtook and the guy sped up and flashed me, if thats what you means happens theres nothing in the law saying its wrong unless you obviously break the speed limit in the process Just ignore it, do like i do now, some people are driving around with their fog lamps, i flash them and stop in the road and say your fog lights are on! The chavs just say "nah ive got em switched on m8!" and i just chuckle, coppers have you for that now when its not foggy, looks stupid anyway Anyway back on topic ![]() |

If I was tailgating for ages or something fair enough. But I literally waited for him. Turned off where he did as well. And as he was accelarating I accelarated faster next to him. Then he flashed his beams, and then I sped off to bed. If I'd cut him up? Or it was the middle of the day and someone was coming the other way? Or something actually a danger to him I wouldn't mind.. But there was just no reason. |

I get you there. But I did just what you said at the end. I braked. Fine, I was ok with him pulling out. Just didn't really see why he I'd when he knew I was coming.. He did it so quick and then just pottered. Basically once he had pulled out I waited patiently. Turned left, the road was clear. Vroom. And he flashed. And no.. I'm not the sort of twat that sits in someones boot because I don't see the point in tailgating. You ain't getting anywhere any faster. |
