it runs!!! (kinda) lol i went and picked it up from blueflame at 5 today and im mightly impressed with the workmanship just not the bill! (thats paid now so the less we say about it the better!!!) i ran through all the instructions and turned it over till the oil pressure light went out then fitted the spark plugs, maf and electronic distributer thingy then turned the key and nothing after a while of trying i knew it wasnt gonna start so the lads pushed me outside and i called the breakdown ppl, everyone left including my dad and i sat there trying to think what i hadnt done! i re checked everything and there was no petrol i was gutted, i sat in the car in the dark for a while and then i decided to see what i had left in the car, i put my hand in the ashtray and found a fuse! then it dawned on me it was the bloody FUEL PUMP fuse!! id taken it out to depressurise the system and not put it back! DOHHHH fitted it and the fcuker burst into life! a kind employee at an other unit let me bring the car in so i had some light and i sat their for 10mins while it warmed up topping up this and that and went on my way the exhaust sounds soo mean and really burbles but it wont idle, i think it might need an idle valve ive got a spare so i will try that and it doesnt accelerate smoothly and i think that its either the springs on the throttle body or the actually throttle body being a bit poo! anyways im very happy as ive proved my mum n dad and all my mate wrong who said it wouldnt run (only just)


next is cossie brakes, rear discs, idle valve and possibly a new throttlebody!!

any ideas on the ideling? it will idle just about when i start it up but when im driving and i come to a stop at the lights it dies!
